Cesar Santoy
Principal

Born and raised in Chicago and a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, Cesar has worked in various facets of the AEC industry. His previous work experience in engineering, construction management, association management, and owner representation has expanded his perspective as an architect. As the firm's Principal, Cesar focuses on process improvement, design excellence, and client satisfaction. He is currently licensed in Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Maryland, and Michigan.

Cesar believes in creating spaces that improve our community's quality and is committed to the professional development of his work peers, aspiring architects, and fellow entrepreneurs. He currently resides in Berwyn with his wife and two children and is an avid fan of all forms of music, exercise, and cuisine.

Sebastian Larrea
Managing Director / Senior Design Manager

 

Sebastian joined Studio ARQ in 2021 as a Sr. Design Manager. He has extensive experience related to every single stage of a project, from planning, design, project development, and construction, with great emphasis on client management, and with great expertise in singular, commercial, residential, and industrial architectural typologies.

 

Javier Cadena
Project Manager

Javier is a Project Manager at Studio ARQ with a focus on residential and commercial design; and has strong skills in the development of interior and exterior design concepts of residential, commercial, and healthcare projects. Javier performs various roles, including interior and exterior design for building renovations and new construction; 3D visualization and drafting for schematic design, presentation documents, construction documents; and construction management services and field documentation. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and soccer.

 

 


ARQ, stands for an abbreviation to ARQUITECTO.  In Latin countries, the name of the person is preceded by the profession practiced; also the letters ARQ are placed next to signatures to indicate that we practice the profession of Architecture.  As an homage to the title, the profession and our heritage  - our Studio is named ARQ.
